I am located in Chicago, Illinois, and I teach special education students in the 5th grade. I made the decision to tutor on the side, because I love learning and education. In college, I was a teacher's assistant, and for three years, I tutored students at the Boys and Girls Club. I did this because I genuinely enjoy assisting students.It is my belief that every individual learns differently. The most crucial piece of being a tutor is learning the strengths of each student. Then, you have to figure out how to use these strengths to your and the students' advantage. Every student is capable of succeeding academically.I am able to help in a plethora of subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Trigonometry, Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physiology, Spanish 1 and 2, Reading, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, American History, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geography, Religious Studies, Life Sciences, Ecology, Social Studies, Study Skills and Organization, PSAT Prep, ACT Prep, and SSAT Prep (Middle and Upper Level). I also offer summer tutoring.I attended Oberlin College and Johns Hopkins University.
